Plextor also showed off the M6G line of M.2 SSDs, available in various shapes (module lengths) and sizes (capacities). Although built in the M.2 form-factor, the drives feature 6 Gb/s SATA link layer, running over the interface. The lineup consists of the M6G-2242, which comes in capacities of 64 GB and 128 GB, featuring DRAM caches of 1 GB DDR3 and 2 GB DDR3, respectively; and offering sequential transfer rates of 520/160 MB/s (read/write) and 520/210 MB/s, respectively. Next up, is the M6G-2260, which comes in capacities of 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB; featuring 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, and 768 MB of DDR3 DRAM caches, respectively; and transfer rates of 520/175 MB/s, 520/360 MB/s, 520/450 MB/s, and 520/450 MB/s, respectively. These drives feature 60 mm module length. Their 80 mm long cousins are the M6G-2280, featuring the same exact capacities, and other specifications.
