Apple Details New Mac Pro

Apple detailed its new generation Mac Pro, which features a revolutionary new cylindrical design, in which all key components of the system are cooled over a common air channel. It features cutting edge Intel Xeon 8-core CPUs with quad-channel DDR3-1866 MHz registered memory, dual AMD FirePro graphics cards, each based on the 28 nm "Tahiti" silicon, with 6 GB of video memory each, a 1 TB PCIe SSD, and connectivity that includes Thunderbolt 2, USB 3.0, 802.11 ac WLAN, HDMI 1.4, and OS X Mavericks pre-installed. The new Mac Pro starts at US $2,999, and begins shipping this December.
